25th Birthday Tour: Meet The Gruffalo

Saturday 4th May 2024, 10am and 12 noon
Jaffé & Neale is delighted to host the superstar character of Julia Donaldson’s much-loved books for young children as part of the 25th Birthday Tour around the country. Gruffalo fans will have the chance to meet the friendly monster on Saturday 4th May in the bookshop, have your photo taken with him and join in on colouring activities too.
This is not a ticketed event, however there are 2 meeting opportunities on the day; at 10 am and at 12 noon.
The first 25 people in each session will receive an exclusive Gruffalo Pin Badge.
Jaffe & Neale are also running an exciting Prize Draw for customers. This is your chance to win the larger-than-life Gruffalo giant standee. All you need to do is buy any Gruffalo book in the shop over the weekend 3rd – 6th May to enter the competition. The draw will be held on Tuesday 7th May 2024 and the winner notified very soon after. The winner will need to collect the standee directly from the store.
Farm & Food Literature Festival 2024

Jaffé & Neale is the bookshop supporting the annual FarmEd Farm & Food Literature Festival. This is a celebration of words, stories and experiences from the wonderful world of agroecology, regenerative farming and sustainable food. 2024’s festival will see a great line-up of guest speakers. Book Signing
John Connolly

Thriller writer, John Connolly, will be dropping in to the shop on the morning of 15th May to sign copies of his books, including The Instruments of Darkness, his latest Charlie Parker novel. Do come along to meet John.

The beautiful Jacobean Asthall Manor near Burford is the setting for an author talk and book signing of Caroline Lucas’s Another England which Jaffé & Neale is supporting. Caroline is MP for Brighton Pavilion and the Green Party’s only MP. In this prescient book, she delves into our literary heritage to explore what it can teach us about the most pressing issues of our time and she sketches out an alternative Englishness: one that we can all embrace to build a greener, fairer future.
