Autumn Events: David Millar & Alexander McCall Smith

Which do you prefer: the life and times of a professional cyclist, or the exploits of the No. 1 Ladies Detective Agency? Thankfully, we’re hosting experts in both of those fields, so you don’t have to decide.racer

David Millar, first Briton to wear the leader’s jerseys in the Tour de France and author of bestselling book Racing Through the Dark, will be speaking about his newest title; The Racer: Life on the Road as a Pro Cyclist. The talk will take place at 2pm on Saturday 3rd October, at Cotswold Cycles in Morton-in-Marsh. Tickets are £5, and are redeemable against a copy of The Racer.

  2. You continue to be very enterprising You have well and truly put Chipping Norton on the literary map, and your bookshops continues to be a delight to visit. I hope very much to go to Alexander McCall Smith’s talk, if not also to hear Sebastian Faulks speak.

    Thank you.

  3. I am absolutely DEVASTATED that we will be away on holiday on October 9th, I just love Alexander McCall Smith and his books, we met him at the Stratford Civic Hall 5 years ago and found the evening delightful.
