Kimiko Barber, teacher of Japanese cookery, will be here in the shop along with a selection of culinary delights, as well as copies of her newest book, Cook Japanese at Home, to talk about her work on Saturday the 19th of November.
Kimiko was born in Kobe, Japan, but moved to England in order to study. After attending university, Kimiko shifted her attention to cooking, a skill that she had picked up from her grandmothers, and later tried her hand at teaching and writing.
Besides teaching at a number of cookery schools, Kimiko also regularly contributes to the food section of the Weekend Financial Times, and has appeared on Radio 4’s Food Program as well as BBC One’s Saturday Kitchen.
Kimiko will be here from 10:30 until 11:30 on Saturday morning, and the event is not ticketed. Cook Japanese at Home is currently in stock at £25.
